The Armoury is a self-catering holiday home situated in the hamlet of Glenfinnan in the Lochaber area of the Highlands of Scotland. The house was constructed in the 1800s and is thought to have belonged to the nearby church, St Mary & St Finnan's. It has since been  renovated to a superb standard with a modern interior and appliances. The house is perfect for a couple's getaway, sightseeing adventure or embarking on an active holiday hill-walking, mountain climbing and skiing. The Glenfinnan Viaduct is only a short distance from the house where the Jacobite Steam Train (Hogwarts Express) passes by often in the summer months on The Road to the Isles. The house is a 30 minute drive from the town of Fort William where the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way walk ways begin.

Visitor Testimonials

Can’t wait to return to this beautiful holiday home in a fabulous location with great walks, scenery and wildlife. We saw lots of stags, birds and some seals. Loved the Jacobite steam train over the famous Glenfinnan viaduct, and the beautiful white sands of Morar. Sourced local venison and fresh fish from Mallaig. Which was then enjoyed in the modern fully equipped kitchen with the log fire very cosy! This is a lovely comfortable holiday home with great views over Loch Sheil and we will be returning very soon. Thanks to Gary and Julie for sharing their lovely holiday home.
